Privacy policy
Last updated: July 24, 2026
The Unrobot Copy Method ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. It applies to visitors and customers of theunrobotcopymethod.com (the "Site") wherever in the world you're located.
By using the Site or purchasing from us, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Who We Are
The Unrobot Copy Method (ABN 80 668 985 724) is an Australian business. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, we are the data controller of the personal information described below.
Contact: theunrobotcopymethod@gmail.com
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly:
- Name, email address, and billing details provided at checkout
- Payment information (processed directly by Shopify and its payment processors — see Section 5; we do not see or store your full card details)
- Any information you send us via email (e.g., support requests)
- Email address and preferences if you sign up for our mailing list
Information collected automatically:
- Device and browser information, IP address, general location (country/region), pages viewed, referral source, and time on site
- Cookie and pixel data (see Section 4)
We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of personal information (e.g., health, biometric, or financial account data beyond standard payment processing).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Process and deliver your purchase (including sending your digital download link)
- Provide customer support
- Send you marketing emails, if you've opted in (via Klaviyo), and let you unsubscribe at any time
- Run and measure advertising, including retargeting via Meta Pixel
- Track affiliate referrals so we can pay commissions to promoters accurately
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
- Understand how the Site is used so we can improve it
- Comply with legal and tax obligations
Legal bases for processing (where GDPR applies): performance of a contract (order fulfillment), legitimate interests (fraud prevention, site analytics, affiliate tracking), and consent (marketing emails, non-essential cookies/pixels). You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies, including:
- Essential cookies — required for checkout and site functionality (managed by Shopify)
- Analytics cookies — to understand site usage
- Advertising cookies — Meta Pixel, which helps us measure ad performance and show relevant ads on Meta platforms (Facebook/Instagram). Meta may combine this data with other information it holds about you in accordance with Meta's own privacy policy.
- Affiliate tracking cookies — used by our third-party affiliate tracking software to attribute sales to the promoter who referred you, so we can pay commissions correctly
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings or through any cookie consent tool active on the Site. Disabling certain cookies may affect Site functionality.
5. Who We Share Information With
We share personal information with the following categories of third parties, solely to operate our business:
- Shopify Inc. — our e-commerce platform and payment processor. Shopify processes payment card data directly and is PCI-DSS compliant. See Shopify's own privacy policy for details.
- Meta Platforms, Inc. — for advertising and analytics via Meta Pixel.
- Klaviyo, Inc. — for email marketing, if you've opted in.
- Our affiliate tracking software provider — to attribute and pay affiliate commissions.
- Professional advisors and authorities — where required to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect our rights.
- A successor business — if we sell or transfer part of our business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to confidentiality obligations.
We do not sell personal information for money. Depending on how "sale" or "sharing" is defined under laws like the CCPA/CPRA, our use of advertising pixels (like Meta Pixel) may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising — see Section 8 for your opt-out rights.
6. International Data Transfers
We're based in Australia, but our service providers (Shopify, Meta, Klaviyo) may process and store data outside your home country, including in the United States. Where required, these providers rely on mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection when transferred internationally.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including to satisfy legal, accounting, or tax obligations (in Australia, financial records are generally kept for at least 7 years). Marketing data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
8. Your Rights
If you're in Australia: under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to access and request correction of your personal information, and to make a complaint about how we've handled it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
If you're in the EU/UK: under the GDPR/UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict processing of your data; to data portability; to object to processing (including for direct marketing); and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
If you're in California (or a similar US state): under the CCPA/CPRA and comparable state laws, you have the right to know what personal information we've collected, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information (including for cross-context behavioral advertising via tools like Meta Pixel).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at theunrobotcopymethod@gmail.com. We'll respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
9. Marketing Communications
If you've opted in to receive marketing emails, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by emailing us directly. Transactional emails (e.g., order confirmations, delivery links) are not marketing and will still be sent regardless of your marketing preferences.
10. Data Security
We rely on Shopify's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure to process payments and take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's Privacy
The Site and our products are not directed at, and not intended for, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we've collected information from a minor, we will delete it.
12. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to third-party websites (including affiliate promoters' content). We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party site, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted to this page, and we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
